Toronto – February 3, 2025 - Beer Canada stands shoulder to shoulder with Canadian workers and businesses in response to U.S. President Trump’s announced 25% tariffs on most Canadian goods, including beer, set to take effect on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.
Canada’s brewers take pride in sourcing our key brewing inputs from Canadian businesses including Western Canadian malted barley to locally produced labels and glass bottles.
Canadians already show strong support for locally made beer, choosing a Canadian brew on nearly 9 out of 10 occasions. In fact, 88% of all beer consumed in Canada last year was made here by Canadian workers in Canadian breweries.
In addition to continuing to develop, market and promote an increasingly diverse range of unique national, regional and provincial Canadian beer brands, Canadian brewers have invested heavily in their manufacturing facilities to produce many of the world’s most iconic global beer brands right here in Canada. A non-comprehensive list of global beer brands now proudly made in Canada for the Canadian market include:
Arizona Hard | American Vintage | Blue Moon | Budweiser |
Budweiser Zero | Bud Light | Bud Light – Flavours (Bud Light Lime, Bud Light Apple, Bud Light Double Lime, Bud Light, Strawberry Lemon) | Busch |
Busch Light | Coors Light | Coors Original | Coors Edge (non-Alcoholic) |
Coors Seltzer | Corona | Corona Cero | Cutwater |
Keith’s | Keystone Light | Kokanee | Madri Exceptional |
Michelob Ultra | Miller Lite | Miller High Life | Miller Genuine Draft |
Mikes | NÜTRL | Old Milwaukee | Pabst Blue Ribbon |
Pabst Blue Ribbon Strong Iced Tea | Palm Bay | Simply Spiked | Sol |
Stella Artois | Truly Hard Seltzer | Twisted Tea | Vizzy |
In the face of this trade dispute with the United States, we urge all Canadians to support local businesses, workers, and products by continuing to shop local and choose beverage alcohol products and brands made here in Canada.
