Canadian Beer Day is Tomorrow! Raise a Glass to Celebrate Canada’s Most Iconic Drink and its Positive Social and Economic Impact Across the Country
Toronto, ON – October 8, 2024 - Tomorrow marks the 6th annual Canadian Beer Day, a nationwide celebration of Canada’s most iconic beverage, its workers in our breweries and across our value-added supply chain. From coast to coast, Canadians will come together in person or on social to toast the social, cultural, and economic contributions of beer in communities large and small.
Canadian Beer Day, held annually on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, highlights the impact that local brewing has in our communities, helping to bring friends, families, neighbours or co-workers together to share what we have in common as Canadians.
This year’s theme Canadian Beer: A Cultural Bond That Ties Canadians Together emphasizes the social and community nature of beer’s culture, recognizing how sharing a Canadian beer helps connect us together. Whether at a local brewery’s taproom, a favourite pub, or in our own backyards, beer plays a role in community-building and fostering personal well-being through positive social interactions.
“Canadians are incredibly proud of our beer and the positive impact it has on local communities. Canadian Beer Day is about coming together, celebrating our local breweries, and toasting the social interactions that add so much to our daily lives,” said CJ Hélie, President of Beer Canada.
Tomorrow, Canadians are invited to celebrate by raising a glass to their favourite Canadian beer, brewer, pub or server. With more beer styles available than ever before, including no- and low-alcohol options, there’s a Canadian beer for every occasion.
Celebrate Canadian Beer Day 2024 by supporting your local breweries and pubs, sharing a cold beer with friends, and joining the conversation on social media by using #CanadianBeerDay and #HereForBeer.
